Plebiscite on Changes to our Australian Statutes of the Order
We wish to hold a non-binding plebiscite of members to gauge the level of support for the proposed changes to our Australian Statutes of the Order. You can register to vote from 1 February 2021 to 15 February 2021.
The principal aim of the proposed changes is to change
Australian Association of the Order of Malta Limited (AAOML) from being
solely a trustee company and service provider, whose members are the members of
the Executive Council, into the entity which will solely represent and govern
the Australian Association instead of our existing unincorporated Australian
Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (the Australian
Association).
AAOML’s membership will expand to include all the members of
the Australian Association. It will continue to operate as a trustee
company. The Australian Association will be wound up.
Voting will close at 11.59pm on 15 February 2021.
