On the last Sunday of every month members of the Order of Malta volunteer at a food service in Fannie Bay, Darwin. The monthly commitment with the missionaries of charity involves members purchasing, preparing and serving the food to those who attend. The nuns deliver a prayer before the meal and the people we serve are most appreciative.
Approximately 80 adults from from disadvantaged circumstances are fed each service.
If funding and volunteers permit, the Order of Malta is keen to increase the frequency of the service.
